What would be the visiting time to meet the admission office for any queries?

Visiting hours for admission queries would be 9:00 am-11:00 am  and 3:45 pm – 5:00 pm.

When does the admission process begin?

Admission process generally begins in the month of November  For any queries you may  write to the admission counselor admission@dpssecunderabad.in

I am currently overseas. Can the admission process be done online?

Online application forms will be available during admission period.  On request, skype interactions can be conducted.

What curriculum does the school offer?

DPS Nacharam offers both CBSE (Pre Primary to class XII ) and Cambridge Assessment International Education from Cambridge Prep to Stage VII for the academic year 2018-2019.  However will be upgraded to higher classes on yearly basis

What is IGCSE?

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is a globally recognized qualification, taken at the Class 10 level, similar to the Class 10 examinations of the CBSE and ICSE or the middle years Programme of the IB.

IGCSE, formed in 1988, is a comprehensive two-year programme, spread over Class 9 and 10, and leads to the final examinations offered every year in May and November.

Why should I select IGCSE for my child?

  1. IGCSE is one of the most sought-after and recognised qualifications in the world. It develops and encourages vital educational skills, including oral skills, investigative skills, problem solving, team work, recall of knowledge, and initiative.
  2. The IGCSE programme has worldwide status and credibility. In India, the course is delivered in over 130 schools with the number expected to touch 600 by 2008. It is recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as being at par with CBSE, ICSE, etc. 
    Worldwide, it is delivered in schools in over 140 countries and is recognised by colleges and universities everywhere, more so in the UK and other Commonwealth countries.
  1. The IGCSE curriculum is balanced and lends an international perspective to studies. It also takes account of differing abilities of students.
  2. IGCSE students can take advantage of the Cambridge Checkpoint, a diagnostic service comprising of standardised tests, that pin-points a student’s strengths and weaknesses in key curriculum areas.

Does the school have hostel facility?

Yes.  School has hostel facility for boys from class VI – XII.

What is the age criteria for admission?

What are the subjects offered at the Class XI and XII CBSE ? When do Class XI admissions start and what is the admission process?

DPS Nacharam offers Science Commerce Stream & Humanities  at the Senior Secondary level.  The students can choose any 5 subjects from the list below with English as compulsory subject

Does the school offer any coaching for competitive examinations?

Yes.  School offers coaching for IIT, EACMET, Engineering Entrance Examination (EEE), NEET, CLAT and SAT.

Which areas are covered by School Transport?

The school has an extensive transport coverage in the vicinity of 10-12 Kms. Parents can refer to School Transport to get an idea of the areas serviced by the current bus routes. The routes may  shuffled  at the time of the new academic session to optimize travel time for the students.  School does not intend to add more buses from this academic year for students staying beyond 10-12 km. Transport fee is payable in three terms.

Which Education Board is the school affiliated to? Is it the right choice for my child? How does it compare with other Boards like State and ICSE?

The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi (CBSE).

It is a national education board and follows a syllabus developed by NCERT (National

Council for Educational Research and Training). This association ensures

» good supporting instructional materials for the teachers at various levels of the school education

CBSE conducts two key entrance exams JEE(Engineering) and NEET(Medical) for admission to professional institutions across the country and hence our students will benefit by studying a curriculum which forms the syllabus for these exams.
